Staphylococcus arlettae is a Gram positive, coagulase-negative member of the bacterial genus Staphylococcus consisting of and clustered cocci. It has been isolated from the skin of mammals and birds and is novobiocin resistant.[1]
A strain of this species isolated from effluent from a textile factory was found to be able to degrade azo dyes. [2]
